PL maintains a leading position in the Chamber of Deputies race due to its current status as the largest single-party caucus with 97 seats, a robust national organization, and effective candidate recruitment ahead of the October 4, 2026, vote under Brazil’s open-list proportional system. This structure favors parties with strong state-level infrastructure and name recognition, advantages PL has built since 2022 amid right-wing mobilization linked to presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro. UPB, holding around 100 seats as a center-right bloc, trails in implied probability because of greater fragmentation and competition from other centrão groups. Concurrent presidential polling, which remains closely contested between Lula and Bolsonaro, reinforces trader focus on coattail effects and legislative bloc dynamics without clear recent catalysts shifting the balance.
