United Russia maintains a commanding lead in trader consensus for securing the most seats in the September 2026 State Duma elections, reflecting its entrenched position as the ruling party with Kremlin support, strong performance in recent regional contests, and structural advantages in Russia's mixed electoral system. President Putin's June decree formalized the 18–20 September voting window, while United Russia has centralized its leadership and assembled a high-profile party list featuring figures such as Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Recent regional elections in 2025 reinforced its dominance, with affiliated candidates securing overwhelming majorities amid limited genuine opposition. The August Supreme Court ruling disqualifying Yabloko further narrowed the field for non-systemic parties. Fragmented alternatives like New People and LDPR trail significantly in polling averages, with pro-Kremlin parties benefiting from incumbency effects, administrative mobilization, and voting arrangements that include occupied Ukrainian territories.
