United Russia holds a commanding position in trader consensus for securing the most seats in the September 2026 State Duma elections, driven by its status as the ruling party with sustained Kremlin backing, strong results in 2025 regional contests, and advantages in Russia's mixed electoral system that includes party-list and single-mandate districts. Recent developments reinforcing this include President Putin's June decree setting the voting dates, United Russia's internal restructuring and candidate approvals, and the effective exclusion of certain opposition groups such as Yabloko. New People has emerged as the clearest alternative in some polling averages and market pricing, though it trails significantly behind due to the fragmented field of systemic parties like LDPR and KPRF. Analysts note that pro-Kremlin forces benefit from incumbency, controlled turnout efforts, and voting access in occupied territories, with limited scope for major shifts before the September vote absent unforeseen events.
