Ozan Baris and Theodore Dean, both Americans ranked in the low 900s, meet for the first time in the round of 32 at the M15 Lakewood on outdoor hard courts. Baris, a three-time ITA All-American and former Michigan State standout with a career-high ATP ranking of 521, enters with strong collegiate pedigree and recent ITF experience. Dean, previously at Cal, has posted solid results in this draw and other recent M15 events, including wins over lower-ranked opponents. With no prior head-to-head and similar professional records, recent form, surface comfort, and physical freshness from the short turnaround will shape the closely contested outcome.
