Avengers: Doomsday leads trader sentiment at 66.5% implied probability for the biggest 2026 opening week due to its status as a major MCU event film reuniting Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans alongside X-Men and Fantastic Four characters, building on six years without a new Avengers installment and strong industry polls projecting record-breaking performance for its December 18 release. Spider-Man: Brand New Day sits at 25.5% after delivering a robust $355 million domestic opening weekend in late July, yet its totals and timing leave room for Doomsday to eclipse it. Toy Story 5, which debuted in June and has surpassed $1 billion globally, along with lower-profile titles like The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping and Dune: Messiah, trail significantly given more modest tracking and historical opening benchmarks for their franchises. Upcoming trailer releases and presale data through the fall will likely shape any late shifts in consensus.
