Hyeon Chung holds a substantial edge over Ethan Cook in the ITF M25 Taipei 2 hard-court match, driven by his extensive experience as a former top-20 player now ranked near 570 and a 2026 hard-court record around 19-13. Chung reached the quarterfinals of the prior Taipei event with wins over Kasidit Samrej and Hikaru Shiraishi, demonstrating consistent form on the surface despite recent losses to higher-level opponents. Cook, ranked near 1300 with a 4-8 record this season, has shown limited success in main-draw ITF events and recent challenger attempts, creating a wide gap in implied probability reflected in trader consensus. No injuries or withdrawals affect the matchup, though lower-tier upsets remain possible given tennis variability.
