Recent polling in the final weeks before the September 20 Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election shows a tight three-way contest among Die Linke, CDU, and AfD for the leading positions, with each typically in the 18-22% range and margins often within the margin of error. This volatility keeps the fight for third place especially fluid between AfD, CDU, and Grüne, as small shifts in turnout or late voter movement among urban and younger demographics could reorder the final results. SPD has fallen further behind in surveys, while smaller parties like FDP and BSW remain well below the threshold. Trader consensus on third-place probabilities reflects these narrow gaps and the limited time left for campaigns to consolidate support.
