Birmingham Phoenix host Welsh Fire at Edgbaston in Match 15 of The Hundred 2026, with the women’s contest starting the double-header followed by the men’s fixture. Phoenix benefit from home conditions and a balanced attack led by captain Ellyse Perry, supported by seam options such as Issy Wong and Emily Arlott in the women’s game, while the men’s side features explosive top-order options around Will Smeed and Joe Clarke. Welsh Fire counter with substantial international experience, including opener Tammy Beaumont and all-round contributions from Georgia Elwiss and Sarah Glenn for the women, plus Phil Salt’s leadership, Joe Root’s batting, and Chris Woakes’ bowling in the men’s lineup. Recent tournament form, overseas player availability, and pitch behavior at the Birmingham venue shape trader views on batting first or chasing in the 100-ball format.

DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins.
