**Matthew Dellavedova holds a clear ranking advantage (around No. 311) over Shunsuke Mitsui (around No. 648) entering their ITF M25 Taipei hard-court matchup, reflecting Dellavedova’s stronger 2026 season with multiple titles and a climb into the top 300.** Mitsui has posted strong recent results, including wins in the Taipei draw and a solid run on hard courts, but trails in overall experience at this level. Their only prior meeting, a 2025 M25 Taipei second-round match, ended with Dellavedova prevailing 5-7, 6-0 after Mitsui retired. Both players favor hard courts, where Dellavedova’s higher ranking and recent consistency give him the edge in trader consensus, though Mitsui’s form offers realistic upset potential in a best-of-three format.
