Trader consensus on the 2026 NFL Draft first-round trades remains tightly clustered around 4-10 deals, reflecting historical volatility where recent drafts have featured anywhere from zero to over a dozen pick swaps amid surging pre-draft rumors of a trade-heavy night. Fresh Bleacher Report intel highlights expectations for multiple maneuvers, driven by quarterback demand for prospects like Fernando Mendoza and Ty Simpson, with the Cowboys—holding two first-round picks—declaring openness to wheeling and dealing per Jerry Jones, while the Rams and Chargers eye trades up or down for edge rushers and linemen. Mock drafts from NFL.com and ESPN frequently project four trades jolting the board early, but uncertain general manager aggression and surplus draft capital among rebuilding teams like the Jets and Raiders keep outcomes competitive without a dominant favorite.
