Herbert and Krawietz, a seasoned doubles pairing with multiple ATP titles and prior Masters-level experience, face the Canadian wild-card entry of Chan and Galarneau in round two of the ATP Montreal hard-court event. The home duo gained momentum by upsetting Alexander Zverev and Marcelo Melo in the opening round, leveraging local support and recent form on the outdoor surface. However, the higher-ranked and more accomplished European team holds a clear edge in head-to-head consistency, serve-volley execution, and overall doubles pedigree, typical of favorites in early Masters doubles draws. No major injuries or withdrawals have altered the field, and the matchup hinges on whether the Canadians can sustain their upset run against established professionals.
