Frenchman Matteo Martineau, ranked around No. 348 with a career-high of 170, enters as the likely trader favorite over Spaniard Pedro Vives Marcos (No. 525) in this ATP Challenger Menorca Round of 32 clay-court matchup, buoyed by his recent clay form including a stunning upset over veteran Stan Wawrinka in Napoli's R32 last week before a quarterfinal exit. Vives Marcos, playing on home soil, seeks to leverage local support but arrives off a straight-sets loss to Antoni Fabre in ITF M25 Tarragona, highlighting struggles against top challengers. No head-to-head history exists; key factors include Martineau's one-handed backhand edge on clay, Vives Marcos' two-handed baseline game, and potential weather impacts on the outdoor courts, with no reported injuries.
