Brock Purdy opened the 2026 NFL season with three passing touchdowns in the 49ers’ Week 1 win over the Rams, completing 25 of 34 passes for 205 yards while adding mobility on scrambles. The fifth-year quarterback enters the year with a healthier supporting cast after the additions of Mike Evans and Christian Kirk alongside Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey, though tight end George Kittle continues working back from an Achilles tear and rookie wideout Ricky Pearsall is out for the season. Purdy’s prior full campaigns produced 31, 20, and 20 touchdowns, respectively, with efficiency driven by Kyle Shanahan’s scheme and his own decision-making under pressure. Health remains the primary variable after shoulder and toe issues limited him to nine games and 20 scores in 2025, while a demanding schedule featuring multiple elite defenses will test volume and red-zone opportunities.
