This market will resolve to “Yes” if a snap election is called in Denmark between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.” The calling of a snap election requires the formal dissolution of the Folketing, or another formal scheduling, according to the rules of the jurisdiction, of an election for all members of the Folketing prior to their scheduled election at the end of the parliamentary term. An announcement of an intention to call an election, a failed vote of no confidence, or the collapse of the governing coalition will not by itself qualify toward a “Yes” resolution. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Denmark and the Folketing; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Denmark’s most recent parliamentary election occurred on 24 March 2026 after Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called a snap vote amid tensions over Greenland. A new minority centre-left coalition government (Social Democrats, Socialist People’s Party, Moderates, and Social Liberals) was formally installed on 3 June 2026, securing parliamentary support through external backing. As of mid-September 2026, no major legislative deadlock, confidence crisis, or external shock has emerged that would prompt the prime minister to dissolve the Folketing again before year-end. Regular elections are not required until 2030, and recent polling and political commentary focus on the coalition’s policy agenda and opposition dynamics rather than early dissolution. Traders therefore assign the “No” outcome a 91 percent implied probability, reflecting the structural and temporal barriers to another snap election within the narrow remaining window.
