The Traitors enters the 2026 Emmys as the clear frontrunner for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, backed by its status as the two-time defending champion and consistent industry momentum across recent seasons. Nominated alongside Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Top Chef after the July 8 announcements, the Peacock series benefits from strong precursor signals, including multiple technical nods and host Alan Cumming’s recognition. Its distinctive format and sustained viewer engagement have solidified trader consensus around its repeat potential ahead of final voting August 17–26. Dancing with the Stars earns attention for its first nomination in a decade following a resurgent season, while the other contenders face historical barriers against a Peacock frontrunner in this category. The September 14 ceremony remains the key resolution point.
