Scottie Scheffler enters the 2026 FedEx Cup Playoffs atop the regular-season standings with a substantial points lead, yet trader consensus reflects a wide-open race because the three-event postseason format resets opportunities at the Tour Championship. Rory McIlroy sits outside the top 10 but carries strong recent form from his Masters victory and multiple top finishes, positioning him as the clearest alternative. A deep group including Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Chris Gotterup, Collin Morikawa, and Tommy Fleetwood—all with recent wins or consistent summer results—adds layers of contention, as any player advancing through the St. Jude Championship and BMW Championship can still close the gap with strong play at East Lake. The bunched probabilities mirror this depth and the inherent variability of PGA Tour stroke-play events.
