Recent polls ahead of Israel's October 27, 2026 Knesset election consistently project Likud at 21–23 seats, well below its current 32 (or 36 including the New Hope merger). This reflects sustained voter fatigue with Benjamin Netanyahu's extended leadership, lingering effects from the October 7 attacks and subsequent security challenges, and competition from new centrist and opposition lists such as Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party, which has tied or surpassed Likud in multiple surveys. Netanyahu’s coalition bloc trails the opposition overall, with limited prospects for recovery before voting day. These trends underpin the strong trader consensus that Likud will finish with fewer mandates than it holds now.
