**Dems sweep leads the Maine Senate-Governor combo market at 62.5%** because recent polling shows Democratic Senate nominee Troy Jackson holding a narrow edge over incumbent Republican Susan Collins while Democratic gubernatorial nominee Hannah Pingree maintains a clearer advantage over Republican nominee Bobby Charles in the open race. Jackson replaced primary winner Graham Platner after the latter’s July 2026 withdrawal amid allegations; the late-July nominating convention and subsequent surveys showing Jackson ahead by 1–3 points have stabilized his position in a toss-up contest rated competitive by outlets including Cook Political Report. Pingree’s stronger standing reflects the state’s partisan tilt and voter priorities on issues such as abortion access and housing after term-limited Democratic Governor Janet Mills exited the field. The “Other” outcome at 50% captures possibilities of independent or third-party influence in the gubernatorial contest, while Republican sweep remains low at 4.5% given Collins’s vulnerability in a state carried by Democrats in recent cycles. Traders weigh the compressed timeline to November 3 and limited polling movement since the primaries as supporting the current consensus probabilities.

A candidate will be considered to represent a party by their ballot-listed affiliation or if they are the nominee of that party. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
If the results of these elections are not conclusively known by March 31, 2027, or if an independent or third-party candidate wins one of these elections, this market will resolve to "Other".
For purposes of this market, a "sweep" is when a party wins both races.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources have conclusively called the relevant Senate and Gubernatorial elections. If all three sources do not achieve consensus in calling the relevant races for this market, it will resolve based on the official certification.
