The Arizona Diamondbacks (36-35) host the struggling Los Angeles Angels (29-43) for a three-game series at Chase Field, where Arizona holds a strong 21-14 home mark compared to the Angels' 12-23 road record. The D-backs sit third in the NL West while the Angels occupy fifth in the AL West, separated by 7.5 games. Key injuries include Angels catcher Sebastián Rivero (hamate fracture) and infielder Adam Frazier (elbow) on the IL, along with starter Yusei Kikuchi (shoulder). Arizona deals with Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (hamstring) and catcher James McCann (quadriceps). Probable starters feature Ryne Nelson for Arizona and Walbert Ureña for Los Angeles, with extreme desert heat potentially influencing bullpen usage and offensive output in the desert matchup.
