The Los Angeles Dodgers hold an edge entering their April 4 matchup at Nationals Park against the Washington Nationals, buoyed by a dominant 13-6 series-opening win on April 3 where Shohei Ohtani and Kyle Tucker powered five homers amid the Nats' pitching collapse against Miles Mikolas. Tyler Glasnow (3.00 ERA early) starts for the Dodgers against Jake Irvin (3.60 ERA) for Washington, highlighting LA's pitching depth despite IL stints for Gavin Stone, Blake Snell, and Evan Phillips. The Dodgers' staff boasts a 2.83 ERA through six games, countering their middling .689 OPS offense, while the Nationals' hot .773 OPS attack faces warm 75-84°F conditions favoring hitters. Key absences like Josiah Gray and Trevor Williams sideline Nats rotation options, underscoring early-season vulnerabilities.
