Dallas Mavericks hold a slim 52.5% implied probability as Klay Thompson's next team, but the market remains tightly bunched with more than a dozen contenders clustered between 45% and 50%. Thompson enters the final year of his three-year, $50 million deal with Dallas after joining the club in 2024, yet recent reports indicate the Mavericks prefer a trade to extract assets rather than a buyout. Multiple title contenders, including the Miami Heat, have expressed interest in acquiring the veteran sharpshooter for his perimeter spacing and championship experience. This fluid offseason landscape—centered on trade negotiations and potential free-agency scenarios—keeps probabilities compressed as traders weigh roster needs, salary-cap flexibility, and Thompson's 36-year-old production against the possibility he remains in Dallas or moves elsewhere before training camp.
