Trader consensus has locked in a 98.9% "Yes" probability for over 240 US flight cancellations on March 24, driven primarily by severe winter storms battering the Northeast and Midwest, with FAA data already reporting over 300 cancellations by midday from major carriers like Delta, United, and American. Real-time tracking from FlightAware and airline advisories confirms widespread ground stops at hubs like ORD, JFK, and BOS due to heavy snow and icing, mirroring patterns from past nor'easters that routinely surpass this threshold. Public sentiment on social platforms echoes frustration with travel chaos, amplifying market conviction. Realistic upsets are slim—only an improbable rapid weather pivot before midnight ET could dip totals below 241, but extended forecasts predict sustained disruptions.
