Kirk Cousins holds the clear edge as the Raiders' Week 1 starting quarterback due to his veteran signing and explicit designation as QB1 by head coach Klint Kubiak, who confirmed he would receive the bulk of first-team repetitions from the outset of training camp. The 15-year pro's experience aligns with the team's timeline for installing the offense under new coaching, placing him ahead of first-overall pick Fernando Mendoza and incumbent Aidan O'Connell on the official depth chart through mid-August. Traders' heavy consensus reflects this structured plan and consistent camp reports rather than speculation. A late injury to Cousins or an unforeseen surge in Mendoza's command of the scheme during remaining preseason work could still prompt a shift before opening day.

In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Las Vegas Raiders; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
