The field strength has risen with the doubled $10,000 prize fund and return of live broadcasts hosted by GM Robert Hess, drawing consistent entries from elite blitz performers. Recent results show Jan-Krzysztof Duda leading 2026 wins after his August 25 victory, while Arjun Erigaisi, Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja, and Hikaru Nakamura frequently occupy podium spots when participating. Form, rest, and draw odds against lower-rated opponents heavily influence final rankings in the large field, with late surges or upsets by specialists like Tuan Minh Le or Artin Ashraf capable of cracking the top eight.
