James Duckworth holds a commanding edge over Beibit Zhukayev in their San Luis Potosi Challenger quarterfinal on outdoor clay, backed by his No. 95 ATP ranking versus Zhukayev's No. 353 and a dominant 4-1 head-to-head record, including a straight-sets clay win here in 2024's round of 32 and a recent Morelia semifinal victory on hard. Duckworth advanced convincingly with straight-sets triumphs over Alan Fernando Rubio Fierros (6-1, 6-0) and Miguel Tobon (6-4, 6-3), showcasing strong clay form without injury issues. Zhukayev grinded three-set wins against Robin Catry and Dan Martin but faces historical matchup struggles against Duckworth's experience, though his height advantage could test baseline rallies.
