The New York Mets welcome the Oakland Athletics to Citi Field for a three-game interleague series starting April 10, with the Mets holding a clear home-field advantage amid an early-season push after splitting their recent series against the San Francisco Giants—including a 10-3 offensive outburst on April 3. Oakland enters on a sluggish note, posting around a 1-5 record with a recent loss to the Houston Astros, compounded by a thin rotation featuring probable opener Luis Morales (0-1). New York's pitching staff gets a boost from Kodai Senga in game two, though infielder Jorge Polanco remains sidelined by Achilles tendinitis and reliever A.J. Minter recovers from lat surgery on the injured list. Trader sentiment hinges on Mets' superior lineup depth, Citi Field factors, and Athletics' road struggles in cool April weather.
