Philadelphia Phillies hold a 1-0 series lead over the Chicago Cubs after a 13-7 rout in Monday's opener at Citizens Bank Park, where Kyle Schwarber belted two home runs and Cristopher Sánchez tossed six strong innings against a depleted Cubs pitching staff. Heading into game three, Cubs lefty Shota Imanaga (0-1, 2.81 ERA) faces Phillies southpaw Jesus Luzardo (1-2, 6.23 ERA), with Chicago hampered by injuries to starters Justin Steele (60-day elbow IL), Jordan Wicks (15-day), and multiple relievers including Matthew Boyd and Phil Maton. Phillies enjoy home-field advantage and offensive momentum amid both teams' sub-.500 records (Phillies 8-8, Cubs 7-9), though Luzardo's elevated ERA tempers expectations in hitter-friendly 87-degree conditions.
