Seattle Mariners hold a trader-favored edge entering Game 2 against the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium, buoyed by their 3-1 extra-innings win in Thursday's opener behind Bryan Woo's seven shutout innings and a late Taylor Young RBI triple. Emerson Hancock (1-0, 0.00 ERA in his first start) faces struggling Jack Kochanowicz (0-0, 11.25 ERA), amplifying Seattle's pitching advantage amid early AL West positioning—Mariners now 4-4, Angels 3-5. J.P. Crawford's activation from the 10-day injured list bolsters the lineup, while Angels' bullpen depth suffers without Kirby Yates (knee, 15-day IL) and others like Vaughn Grissom (hand). Minimal weather impact expected in Anaheim.
