Detroit Tigers hold trader consensus edge over St. Louis Cardinals entering Saturday's matchup at Comerica Park, fueled by yesterday's 4-0 home opener shutout where Dillon Dingler's two-run homer and strong pitching snapped a four-game skid, boosting their record to 3-4. Probable starters tilt further toward Detroit: Jack Flaherty (0-1, 4.15 ERA) faces Cardinals righty Dustin May (0-1, 13.50 ERA in debut), whose high WHIP raises concerns against Detroit's emerging bats like Colt Keith (.364 AVG). St. Louis (4-3) features Nolan Gorman (two HR, six RBI) but Masyn Winn remains day-to-day; both bullpens thin with relievers on short-term IL. Early-season volatility persists amid Tigers' home momentum.
