Laura Mair holds the clear experience edge as the higher-ranked Italian with a WTA ranking near 500 and a deeper record of ITF senior matches, while Spanish junior Alba Maria Coromina Boluda competes with an ITF junior ranking around 387 and far fewer professional outings. The second-round clash takes place on outdoor clay at the W15 Oliva event, a surface where Mair’s recent results and physical maturity could prove decisive against the younger opponent’s developing game. No prior head-to-head exists, and both players arrive with mixed recent form, though Mair’s established ranking and match volume reflect the market’s assessment of her stronger positioning heading into the encounter.
