Lautaro Martínez commands a 3-goal lead in the Serie A capocannoniere race with 16 goals after 33 rounds in this low-scoring 2025/26 season, ahead of teammate Marcus Thuram (13) and Como's Nico Paz and Anastasios Douvikas (12 each). His consistent form, including recent braces in key wins like 5-2 over Roma, has solidified trader consensus amid Inter's dominant table position and favorable remaining fixtures against lower-table sides. With only four to five matches left, challengers face steep hurdles in schedule difficulty and goal output. Realistic threats include a serious injury sidelining Martínez or extraordinary hat-trick runs from pursuers like Thuram or Como forwards, though Inter's depth reduces rest risks.
