Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings,” originally released in 2024, drives the current market consensus through its explosive 2026 resurgence fueled by TikTok virality and a major radio push that propelled it to No. 1 on both U.S. and global Spotify daily charts in June. The track has maintained strong streaming momentum, recently claiming the top spot on the Top Gabb Music Songs chart for August while climbing to a new Billboard Hot 100 peak at No. 19. This late-cycle breakout positions it as the clear frontrunner for the year’s second-highest U.S. Spotify total, outpacing earlier 2025 standouts like Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need.” Traders are watching September chart updates and year-end streaming velocity for any late shifts before the annual tally locks.
