In the ongoing 2026 FIDE Women's Candidates Tournament—a double round-robin classical event in Paphos, Cyprus—trader consensus favors Zhu Jiner at 33.5% implied probability, buoyed by her world No. 2 Elo rating of 2578 and key round 5 victory over Vaishali R plus a round 4 win against Divya Deshmukh, tying her at 3/5 points with Kateryna Lagno and replacement Anna Muzychuk. Lagno's (27%) upset of Bibisara Assaubayeva (27.5%) in round 5 maintains the Kazakh's contention despite her earlier defeat of Zhu, while Aleksandra Goryachkina (22%) lurks with steady draws. Koneru Humpy's pre-tournament withdrawal over safety concerns has cratered her odds to 0.6%, underscoring the field's depth and nine rounds remaining for shifts in momentum.
