Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru lead the IPL 2026 points table with 8 points from 5 matches and a superior net run rate of +1.503, bolstered by their potent batting lineup featuring Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, and Rajat Patidar, plus a recent 5-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants on April 15. Rajasthan Royals match RCB's points tally after a dominant 6-wicket victory over Bengaluru five days prior, driven by Dhruv Jurel and Vaibhav Suryavanshi's exploits, keeping them unbeaten in key moments. Punjab Kings trail closely on 7 points from 4 games with an unbeaten record, reflecting strong momentum from retentions and auction buys. This early-season cluster at the top, with balanced squads post-2025 mega auction, fuels trader consensus on a tightly contested championship race amid unpredictable pitch conditions and remaining fixtures.
