Both clubs sit near the lower half of the 2026 AFL ladder, with Richmond on 12 points and St Kilda on 36, reflecting inconsistent seasons marked by heavy defeats and limited wins. Recent form adds balance: the Tigers secured an 11-point victory over West Coast to escape the bottom, while the Saints dropped their latest outing to Sydney after earlier successes. Home advantage at the MCG for Richmond, combined with roster adjustments and potential injury recoveries, offsets St Kilda’s marginally stronger percentage and experience in tighter contests. Key variables that could shift implied probabilities include confirmed lineups, any late fitness concerns for key midfielders or forwards, and how each side manages contested possessions and forward entries on match day.
