Matteo Berrettini enters as the head-to-head favorite with a 4-1 edge over Roberto Bautista Agut, including 2-0 on clay, bolstering trader consensus for their Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters first-round clash on the high-bouncing clay courts that suit his booming serve and forehand. Berrettini, ranked around No. 90, showed resurgence in Miami last week with a top-20 win over Alexander Bublik before a R32 exit amid cramping concerns, while the 37-year-old Bautista Agut (No. 85, 5-9 in 2026) limps in as a lucky loser after early defeats and lacks recent momentum. No major injury reports surface today, but Berrettini's fitness history and the slow Monte Carlo conditions could extend rallies, testing both veterans' endurance.
