Chan/Rice enter the Granby Challenger doubles draw as wild cards on hard courts in a first-round matchup against Poling/Trotter. The Canadian-American pairing benefits from home-country support and familiarity with the venue, while Poling/Trotter bring recent qualifying or lower-tier experience on the surface. Limited head-to-head data exists between the teams, making recent individual form, serve effectiveness, and net play the primary differentiators. Both sides feature players outside the top 300-400 in doubles rankings, increasing the chance of volatile exchanges and tiebreak outcomes. The hard-court speed favors aggressive returns and quick points, with no reported injuries or withdrawals affecting either pairing ahead of the July 13 start.
