Donski/Martin enter the Kingston 2 Challenger doubles quarterfinal on hard courts with strong recent momentum after Bulgarian Alexander Donski captured a Challenger 125 doubles title the prior week in Quebec City, lifting his ATP doubles ranking to a career-high No. 92. The pairing defeated fourth-seeded Brazilians Marcondes/Da Silva in the round of 16 via a 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 victory, showcasing effective tiebreak execution and serving under pressure. Australian Calum Puttergill (doubles peak No. 138) and New Zealander Ajeet Rai advanced from the round of 16 with a 5-7, 6-3, 13-11 win over Liuta/Reyes but carry less recent doubles success at this level, with Puttergill exiting singles qualifying earlier in the week. The matchup pits Donski’s elevated form and partnership chemistry against the experienced yet lower-ranked Puttergill/Rai tandem on a surface favoring consistent baseline play.
