Luz/Matos enter this Cincinnati Open doubles Round 2 match on hard courts with strong momentum after capturing the Montreal Masters 1000 title days earlier, defeating top seeds Arevalo/Pavic in the final for their first crown at that level. The Brazilian pair has posted consistent results across the 2026 season, including an earlier Santiago title, reflecting improved cohesion and recent success on faster surfaces. Melo/Zverev, who claimed the Acapulco ATP 500 crown earlier in the year as a pairing, showed less recent doubles form after an early Montreal exit. Zverev’s singles pedigree and athleticism provide Melo with a high-upside partner, yet the veteran doubles specialist’s experience faces a test against the surging Brazilians in what trader pricing views as a closely matched encounter.
