This market will resolve according to the city announced to host Eurovision 2027. This market will resolve immediately based on the official announcement for which city will host Eurovision 2027, regardless of whether that decision is later changed or the city hosts the event. If no decision is announced by December 31, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be information from Eurovision, including https://www.eurovision.com/, or a consensus of credible reporting. The delay in BNT's expected end-of-July announcement for Eurovision 2027's host city has emerged as the dominant catalyst shifting trader sentiment toward Burgas. After the Bulgarian broadcaster narrowed the field from four initial bids to Burgas and Sofia in mid-July following EBU inspections, the postponement fueled speculation that Sofia's capital-based proposal may face stronger competition than early leaks suggested. Burgas has capitalized on its Black Sea location, Arena Burgas venue, and tourism infrastructure to build momentum in the final evaluation stage, while Sofia's prior Junior Eurovision experience provides a solid but apparently less decisive edge. With Plovdiv and Varna eliminated early and a decision still pending, the market-implied odds reflect traders pricing in Burgas' recent surge as the frontrunner ahead of the imminent final selection.
