Trader consensus reflects a highly competitive race for the most assists at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Marcel Sabitzer holding a slim 47% implied probability edge over a cluster of players at 45–45.5%, including Kaoru Mitoma, Martin Ødegaard, and others. This tight grouping stems from the broad pool of attacking midfielders and wingers across national teams, where assist totals depend on team attacking patterns, minutes played, and progression depth rather than any standout favorite. Comparable chances for players from varied squads keep the market bunched, as no individual has demonstrated a decisive historical or current edge in high-stakes international play.
