Sijia Wei enters this ITF W15 Tianjin 3 round-of-16 match as the clear favorite due to her substantial WTA ranking advantage (around 400 versus Kim near 900) and greater professional experience on the hard courts used for the event. Wei recently advanced with a straight-sets win over Liuyan An, maintaining strong recent form in lower-tier events, while Kim has posted wins in the draw including against Yujin Ahn but faces a steep step up in opponent quality. Surface familiarity, current match fitness, and the grass-to-hard transition for some entrants further tilt trader consensus toward Wei, though ITF outcomes remain subject to variance from limited data and potential upsets by lower-ranked players showing strong form.
