Arizona Diamondbacks (71-63) visit the San Francisco Giants (54-79) at Oracle Park to open a four-game series on August 27, with Arizona clinging to the NL Wild Card race just one game back of the final spot while San Francisco has been eliminated. The Diamondbacks hold an 8-1 season-series edge, including a May sweep, and arrive after taking two of three from the Cubs. Rookie right-hander José Cabrera (0-2, 5.60 ERA) gets the call against Landen Roupp (7-13, 4.34 ERA) in a matchup where Arizona’s lineup depth and speed could pressure a Giants staff that has allowed runs freely lately. Multiple Diamondbacks starters remain sidelined with elbow and shoulder issues, forcing roster churn, while Nolan Arenado and Ketel Marte deal with thumb and knee ailments that limit lineup options. The pitcher-friendly venue and close moneyline pricing reflect the competitive balance despite Arizona’s recent form advantage.
