The Milwaukee Brewers enter Kauffman Stadium riding a hot 5-1 start, including a sweep of the White Sox and series win over the Rays on a strong homestand, boosting trader consensus on their early NL Central lead. Kansas City Royals (3-3) counter at home but face pitching upheaval with Michael Wacha scratched for illness, handing prospect Luinder Avila his MLB debut against Chad Patrick (0-0, 2.08 ERA, 4 SO). Brewers placed INF Andrew Vaughn on the 10-day injured list with a left hamate fracture, while Royals' Cole Ragans nurses a groin strain ahead of a three-game set; home-field edge and Royals bullpen depth (1.29 ERA late 2025) loom as key factors.
