This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Yordan Alvarez maintains overwhelming trader support at 83% for the 2026 Edgar Martínez Outstanding Designated Hitter award due to his dominant AL campaign as the Astros' primary DH. Through early September he leads qualified designated hitters in OPS near 1.031 while posting a .314 average, 38 home runs, and 95 RBIs, reflecting elite contact quality, plate discipline, and power that outpace the field. Kyle Schwarber and Shohei Ohtani sit far behind at 2.1% each, with Schwarber's home-run volume and Ohtani's run production offset by lower averages and the wide statistical gap Alvarez has built over recent months. No late injuries or usage shifts have altered this positioning, leaving the market reflecting Alvarez's clear edge in cumulative DH production.
