This market will resolve in favor of the player that finishes the 2026 MLB regular season with the most intentional walks. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the player with more walks during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player with a higher on base percentage. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the 2026 MLB season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available MLB statistics for completed games. If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 15, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player had more walks within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from MLB; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Yordan Alvarez has drawn a league-leading 28 intentional walks through late August 2026, already surpassing the Astros’ single-season franchise record and placing him well clear of the next-closest hitters. The 29-year-old designated hitter leads the American League in batting average, home runs, and RBIs while posting elite on-base and slugging marks, making him the clear focal point of opposing pitching plans in an otherwise modest Astros lineup. Recent series against the Athletics featured multiple three-walk games, underscoring how teams continue to bypass him in high-leverage spots. With roughly a month remaining, his sustained dominance and lack of comparable protection in the batting order have driven the overwhelming trader consensus around his totals. An extended injury absence, dramatic late slump, or sudden lineup reinforcement around him remain the primary realistic paths for another player to close the gap.
