If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLS season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The MLS 2026 Golden Boot race remains tightly contested midway through the regular season, with Hugo Cuypers leading at 13 goals for Chicago Fire, closely followed by Lionel Messi and Petar Musa on 12 each. Trader consensus places Denis Bouanga atop the probabilities at 32.5% due to his proven track record of multiple 20-goal campaigns and LAFC’s consistent attacking volume, despite his current six-goal tally in 14 matches. Messi’s 27% share reflects Inter Miami’s creative setup and his clinical finishing, while forwards like Sam Surridge, Brian White, and others sit in the low-to-mid 20s on recent form and favorable remaining schedules. Roughly half the campaign remains, preventing any player from establishing clear separation amid distributed scoring chances and typical variance in forward output.
