In the ATP Challenger Split semifinals on clay, No. 248 Tom Gentzsch faces No. 269 Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg, pitting two 22-year-old risers with identical 191cm frames in a rematch. Gentzsch boasts superior clay credentials (70.6% win rate over the past year, 114-72 career) and demolished Alexander Vasilev 6-0 6-2 in quarters after a 7-6 6-0 second-round win over Filippo Romano, signaling strong momentum. Gueymard Wayenburg, holding a 6-3 6-1 H2H edge from their November 2025 indoor hard clash in Helsinki qualifiers, advanced via a 6-1 7-5 quarterfinal over Andrej Nedic but carries a weaker 42% recent clay success rate. No injury reports or weather disruptions noted for the outdoor Stadion Mile Moralic clash; trader consensus reflects Gentzsch's surface edge amid evenly matched recent form.
