Ryuki Matsuda holds the clear edge over Chun-Chien Hou in the ITF M25 Taipei 2 qualifying matchup on outdoor hard courts, driven by his higher ATP ranking near 800, stronger hard-court record, and 1-0 head-to-head lead from a straight-sets win in the same event last year. The 26-year-old Japanese player brings more ITF experience and consistent recent results on the surface, including multiple wins in regional hard-court events this season. Hou, a 20-year-old Taiwanese prospect ranked well outside the top 1,500, shows promise with solid win rates in lower-tier events but faces a significant step up in opponent quality and lacks prior success against similarly ranked players. Home-crowd support offers Hou some situational boost, yet Matsuda’s superior serve efficiency and break-point conversion in comparable matches shape trader consensus around the veteran’s advantage.
