Cameroon, Comoros, Namibia, and Congo Brazzaville enter AFCON 2027 qualifying Group G with no matches played and identical zero-point records, creating an unusually open contest for the group winner. The September 24 opening fixtures—Cameroon hosting Comoros while Namibia faces Congo—mark the first on-pitch evidence of current form, squad depth, and tactical execution. Cameroon carries the highest historical pedigree yet faces motivated opponents capable of claiming points on home soil or through counter-attacks, while the other three sides feature improving infrastructures and recent regional success that narrows perceived gaps. With two matchdays remaining in 2026 and the group winner advancing directly, traders see limited separation until results establish momentum or expose vulnerabilities in travel, rest, or key player availability.
